The plan so far
eBooks.com’s new reading platform will be a truly universal, frictionless reading experience — including new mobile apps for phones and tablets, and a fully integrated online (browser-based) reader. Your annotations, highlights, bookmarks, last-page-read, etc. will all be synced in real time. In the cloud and in your hands. The current priorities are:
- Full support for EPUB 3 and PDF
- Gorgeous display for picture books, fixed layout, manga and graphic novels
- Superb text-to-speech
- Intuitive tools for students and professionals
- Integrated audiobook capability
- Native support for e-ink devices and writable tablets
- Easy accessibility features for sight impaired and disabled users
- Interoperability with other platforms, using Readium LCP (DRM)
- White-labelable for publishers and retailers
