Here’s how to try the new eBooks.com apps, without spending anything.
We’ve put together a small collection of free classics. The books will be added to your eBooks.com library and delivered using the same secure Readium LCP system that we use for protected commercial ebooks.
How to try it
First…
then:
- Click Add all to my library. (You’ll probably need to sign in or create a free account.)
- Your books will appear in your library.
- Select a book and follow the steps.
You can then explore the new reading experience for yourself: change the typeface and text size, adjust spacing and layout, try dark mode and accessibility features, move between chapters, and download books for offline reading.
One groovy thing is that, if you highlight text in a book on your phone and the same book is already open on your desktop (in the online reader), the highlights and notes will magically appear in real time on your desktop. The ghost in the machine.
Because these books use the same delivery process as our commercial ebooks, this is a useful way to see how the new eBooks.com platform works from a reader’s point of view.
