eBooks.com has launched two new reading apps for iOS and Android, marking another major step in the renewal of its ebook reading platform.
Developed in partnership with the European Digital Reading Lab and Sweden’s Colibrio, the new apps provide a simpler, faster and more accessible reading experience, with support for offline reading, extensive typography and display controls, and modern accessibility features.
The apps form part of eBooks.com’s transition to open, standards-based reading technologies, including Readium LCP. They follow the recent introduction of the company’s new browser-based Online Reader and support for the Thorium desktop reading application.

We have also developed reading options intended to make ebooks more comfortable for people with dyslexia and other reading or visual preferences.”
The new reading apps are available now for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. They seamlessly support a wide range of ebook formats, including fixed format EPUB, audio-visual content, manga and textbooks with complex layouts and specialised fonts.
